Miro at Tate Modern

Went to the Miro at Tate Modern yesterday. Not a painter I have ever give any thought to really, but a really well put together retrospective. Had not really been fully aware before of what a huge influence on Gorky, amazing the way Gorky just worked his way through Miro's 1936-8 period and then found his own voice.
Nice but very tight little paintings on copper from 1936.
The 1940's "Constellations" are lovely little things, but after that it all goes downhill.
