car·i·ca·ture

car·i·ca·ture/ˈkarikəCHər/Noun

1. A picture, description, or imitation of a person or thing in which certain characteristics are exaggerated to create a comic or grotesque effect.

Well I gave a talk to the assembled students of various UCAL arts students today, (thanks for coming) and one of the students came up after and gave me this wee drawing. Thanks! No idea who you were but I like it.

Today's studio update

Working in some little fast paintings in board. Well that's the idea.

Painting -back in the studio

Coming back to a painting I thought was finished 4 weeks ago just prior to trip to Wellington NZ.
Now it looks ... well... empty.
Often harder to 're-enter' a painting again than start afresh.
Will post photos if there's a positive outcome.

Updated website

Changed the whole way paintman.org works, well from the front page anyway.
Taken out all the archived images on the front, they are still there but will try and concentrate on new work and update the blog too.
